Ādi Śaṅkarācārya states - the one who takes up the path of spirituality purifies/uplifts the entire family (pāvitaṃ te kulaṃ tvayā – vivekacūḍāmai 50). Should not such a mighty contribution done silently to the entire family be recognized and glorified in every family? Sri Ramayya, from our family, joined the Ramakrishna Order in the year 1953 at the age of 20. His Sanyasa name was Swami Raghunathananda. He served mankind till he breathed his last when he was 84 (date of passing away - Purattasi Krishna Paksha Saptami of Vilambi year (October 1, 2018)). That was the glorious life of Swami Raghunathananda. This year the Punyatithi day of Swami Raghunathananda falls on Friday, October 9, 2020. On that day, let us offer our shraddhanjali to Swami Raghunathananda who chose a life of Tyaga and Service. We seek his blessing for the blossoming of the Tyaga ad Service in the heart of every member of our families. This is the aim of this Aradhana event as well as the competition. 

 

 ஸ்வாமி ரகுநாதாநந்தர் ஆராதனை விழா - 2020 

சிறுவர்/சிறுமியருக்கான பாட்டுப் போட்டி 

ஆதிசங்கரர் கூறுகிறார் - "ஆன்மிகத்தை நாடுபவர் தனது குலத்தையே மேன்மைப் படுத்துகிறார், தூய்மைப்படுத்துகிறார்" (பாவிதம் தே குலம் த்வயா - விவேகசூடாமணி செய்யுள் 50). இப்படி தனது குலத்தை/குடும்பத்தை அமைதியாக மேன்மைபடுத்திய/தூய்மைபடுத்திய சான்றோரை அந்த குலம் வணங்கவேண்டாமா, போற்றவேண்டாமா? எங்கள் குலத்தில் உதித்த திரு ராமய்யா அவர்கள் 1953ஆம் ஆண்டு ரயில்வே பணியைத் துறந்து ஆன்மிக சேவைப் பணிகளுக்காக ஶ்ரீராமகிருஷ்ண மடத்தில் துறவியானார். ஸ்வாமி ரகுநாதாநந்தர் என்ற தீக்ஷா நாமத்துடன் விளங்கினார். தான் இறைவனுடன் ஒன்றிய தனது 84வது வயது வரை இந்த ஆன்மிக சேவையைத் தொடர்ந்தார். ஸ்வாமிஜி இறைவனடி சேர்ந்த நாள் விளம்பி ஆண்டு புரட்டாசி மாத கிருஷ்ண பட்ச ஸப்தமி (2018 அக்டோபர் 1). இந்த ஆண்டு (2020) அவரது நினைவு நாள் அக்டோபர் 9 (வெள்ளிகிழமை) அன்று வருகிறது. அந்த நாளில் நாம் தொண்டும் துறவும் நிறைந்த வாழ்வை ஏற்றெடுத்த ஸ்வாமி ரகுநாதாநந்தர் செயலை நினைத்துப் பார்த்து அவருக்கு அஞ்சலி செய்வோம். அவர் போலவே நமது குடும்பத்திலும் அனைவருக்கும் தொண்டுள்ளம், ஆன்மிக நாட்டம் ஆகியவை ஏற்படவேண்டும் என்று பிரார்த்தித்துக் கொள்வோம். அதற்காகத்தான் இந்த ஆராதனை விழாவும், போட்டியும்! 

 

 

Details & Rules of Contest

•  Songs for the competition: From the book Unnamya Drishtam by Dr M.Jayaraman, Sanskrit Scholar and Purvashrama family member of Swami Raghunathananda. Any one among the ten songs on Divinities and Noble Personalities can be selected. The text of the Songs with meaning and also the renderings/audio can be accessed from here -  https://www.sanskritfromhome.in/course/unnamya-drishtam-sanskrit-songs/ (Free Registering in the website is need to access the songs and rendering. If you have any trouble accessing the contest material, write to swami.r.aradhana@gmail.com)  
• Any Girl / Boy of age between 10 -15 can enter the competition. 
• Solo vocal with Shruti is ideal. 
•  Clear pronunciation of Samskrita words appreciated. At the end of the song, What inspired to select your song should be explained in five sentences by the participant.

•  Send your entry before October 4, 2020 
• One entry per contestant only 
•  First Prize for the best rendering: Rs 2,500. 
•  Appreciation Prizes: Rs. 500 each to 5 next-best renderings 
• Decision of the Contest Committee is final. 
• Avoid correspondence regarding the contest after sending entries.
• Prize Announcement in Swami Raghunathananda Aradhana Day event.Details will be sent, in due course, to join the event (Friday, October 9, 2020)
